This list is for anyone who freezes up the second a camera comes out, lol! Beginners, renters, busy people, last-minute planners, this one’s for all of you.

You don’t need fancy gear or a studio to get shots people actually stop scrolling for. Most of these work with a phone and about ten free minutes.

I scrolled through hundreds of pins putting this together. Half of them got cut because they needed props nobody owns or weather nobody gets.

What’s left are the ones that are doable, budget friendly and actually look good outside of a magazine. No studio lighting rig required, promise!

How fun is a snowball caught mid air? Timing this one takes a few tries. Burst mode makes it way easier though!

Have your friend toss straight up instead of forward so it stays in frame longer.

This blanket fort idea turns a backyard into a whole scene. I drape a flannel throw over two chairs and tuck fairy lights along the edge every single time.

It photographs cozier than it actually feels outside, not gonna lie! Worth it for the shot though! Bring an extra pair of socks, trust me.

A white sheet backdrop turns any room into a mini studio. I clip mine to a curtain rod and always forget to iron out the wrinkles first, lol!

Natural light from a nearby window keeps it soft. This one costs basically nothing and still looks polished!

Solo silhouette shots at sunset are some of the best single photoshoot ideas out there for one simple reason. I never bother fixing my hair before these because the lighting does everything for you.

Stand between the camera and the sun so the outline goes fully dark. Not a single detail on your face needs to be perfect, lol!

Confident mirror selfie poses are having a moment again. They never really left, if we are honest. My bathroom mirror gets more use for this than actual mirror duties these days, haha!

Angle the phone slightly above eye level. It’s the small tilt everyone forgets and it changes the whole photo. Wipe the mirror first, seriously.

Turn off every other light in the room. The flicker on the skull ridges makes it look intentional instead of random. Same energy every single October!

Point them from opposite sides of the face. The clash of color down the middle looks way more expensive than it costs!

A white cyclorama shot is the clean, seamless look you see in every fashion catalog. Renting studio time for an hour gets you the curved white backdrop with zero visible corners.

Bring a couple outfit changes since you’re already paying for the space. I always regret it when I don’t! How cute is having three looks from one session?

Matching pajama pillow fights are chaos in the best way. Feathers flying mid frame add way more energy than a posed shot ever could. My living room still hasn’t recovered, haha!

Shoot in burst mode and pick the frame with the most motion.
