Too many workout apps, too many videos, zero clue where to even start? Same!
Scrolling through a hundred fitness pins at midnight is not a plan, lol!
This list exists so you don’t have to do that scrolling yourself. I went through pages and pages of moves and kept only the ones that actually work in a living room.
No fancy equipment required for most of these. A resistance band and maybe a set of dumbbells will cover almost everything on here.
Some days you’ve got twenty minutes. Some days you’ve got five. Either way, there’s something on this list that fits.
A few of these focus purely on glutes, but I threw in some leg day, upper body and back moves too, because a body needs balance, right?

Pick two or three, string them together and call it a workout. No gym membership, no drama, just results.
GLUTE WORKOUT IDEAS HOME
Sculpted Glutes Booty Band Circuit
We’re starting off strong with a booty band circuit. Looping a band above your knees turns basic squats into something way harder, fast.
This one targets the whole glute region in about ten minutes. Fair warning, you’ll feel it walking up stairs the next day, haha!
- Band burns by minute three
- Loop it above the knees
- Ten minutes, whole body sweat
Fire Hydrant Glute Burner
Fire hydrants look silly but they work every angle of the glute. Get on all fours and lift one knee out to the side like a dog at a hydrant, lol!
Keep the movement slow and controlled. Rushing through this one just wastes the burn.
- Slow and steady wins here
- All fours, no equipment
- Feel it by rep ten
Bodyweight Hip Thrust Challenge
Hip thrusts with just bodyweight are underrated. Lie on your back, feet flat. Drive your hips up toward the ceiling.
Add a pause at the top for an extra squeeze. Not that I’m competitive about my own reps, but I always try to beat yesterday, haha!
- Pause at the top, always
- No weights needed at all
- Great for a rainy day
Glute Bridge March Combo
Glute bridges get a little more interesting once you add a marching motion on top. Lift into a bridge, then alternate lifting each knee toward your chest.
It challenges balance while your glutes stay activated the entire time. This combo sneaks in some core work too, which is a nice bonus.
- Two moves, one burn
- Alternate knees while bridged
- Works core at the same time
Donkey Kick Pulse Routine
Donkey kicks with a pulse at the top are brutal in the best way. Kick one leg straight back, then pulse it a few inches up and down before switching sides.
Your glutes will be shaking by the last set. That shake means it’s working, lol!
- The pulse is the whole point
- Kick, then tiny pulses
- Switch legs every set
Single Leg Glute Bridge
Single leg glute bridges fix imbalances that regular bridges tend to hide. One foot stays flat on the floor while the other leg extends straight out.
This one exposes which side is weaker pretty quickly. No shame in that.
- Finds your weaker side fast
- One leg extended
- Great before running
Curtsy Lunge Booty Sculpt
Curtsy lunges hit the glutes from a completely different angle than a everyday lunge. Step one leg behind and across the other like a little curtsy, then lower down.
It looks graceful, but it burns way more than it looks like it should. Add a light dumbbell in each hand once bodyweight feels easy.
- Looks fancy, feels intense
- Step behind and across
- Add dumbbells when ready
Frog Pump Home Routine
Frog pumps are basically hip thrusts with your feet pressed together and knees pointed out wide. The range of motion is small, but the burn is not.
This is one of those moves that looks easy on video and humbles you within the first thirty seconds, haha!
- Small range, huge burn
- Feet together, knees wide
- Thirty seconds is plenty
Standing Glute Kickback Series
Standing kickbacks work well when you want something low impact but still effective. Hold onto a chair for balance and kick one leg straight back, squeezing at the top.

This series is quiet enough to do while watching a show. Multitasking at its finest, lol!
- Doable during your show
- Hold a chair for balance
- Squeeze at the top
Bodyweight Squat Ladder Workout
Squat ladders are simple. Do one squat, rest a few seconds, do two squats, rest, then three.
Keep climbing until it burns too much to continue.
This is one of those leg day ideas home that needs zero equipment and still leaves your legs wobbly. It fits anywhere, even a small apartment floor.
- Climb until it hurts
- No equipment required
- Fits a small space
Wall Sit Leg Burner
Wall sits are deceptively simple and deceptively awful. Slide down a wall until your knees hit ninety degrees and just hold there.
Thirty seconds feels like forever the first time. It gets easier, promise!
- Thirty seconds feels endless
- Ninety degree knee bend
- Great timer challenge
Reverse Lunge Leg Sculpt
Reverse lunges are gentler on the knees than forward lunges, which makes them a solid pick for most fitness levels. Step backward instead of forward and lower straight down.
This one sculpts quads, hamstrings and glutes all at once. Talk about efficient!
- Step back, not forward
- Hits three muscles at once
Dumbbell Shoulder Press Routine
Shoulder presses with a pair of dumbbells build strength fast. Press the weights straight overhead from shoulder height and lower with control.
These upper body ideas dumbbells routines are some of the most requested because the results show up quickly in tank top season.
- Shows up fast in tank tops
- Press straight overhead
- Control the way down
Chest Press Floor Workout
Chest presses on the floor are a great substitute if you don’t own a bench. Lie flat, press the dumbbells up and squeeze at the top.
The floor actually limits your range of motion in a good way. It protects the shoulders while still building strength.
- Floor protects the shoulders
- No bench needed
Dumbbell Push Pull Combo
A push pull combo pairs a pressing move with a pulling move back to back. Think chest press followed immediately by a row.
It keeps the muscles balanced instead of overworking one side. Honestly, so do I now, haha!
- Balance built right in
- Press then pull, repeat
- Keeps sides even
Bent Over Row Circuit
Bent over rows are a back day staple for good reason. Hinge at the hips, keep the back flat and pull the dumbbells toward your ribs.
This circuit works well as a finisher after any upper body session. It leaves your back sore in the satisfying way.
- Sore in the good way
- Hinge, flat back
- Pull toward the ribs
Renegade Row Strength Set
Renegade rows combine a plank with a rowing motion, which sounds intense because it is. Row one dumbbell up while balancing on the other hand and your toes.
These back workout ideas dumbbells sets build core stability along with back strength. Not for the faint of heart, but so worth it!
