9+ Trendy Lululemon Outfit Ideas That Are Worth Every Penny

Let’s be real: Lululemon is not cheap. So if you’re gonna spend that kind of money on leggings, a jacket, or even a matching set, you want to know you’re actually going to wear it – and not just let it sit in your closet because you ran out of ways to style it.

I feel like that’s the thing with Lululemon. When it’s good, it’s so good. The pieces are flattering, crazy comfortable and somehow make you feel put together even when you’re literally just running out for coffee or heading to Pilates. But at the same time, if I’m paying that much for one item, I need it to work for multiple outfits. Otherwise, it just doesn’t feel worth it to me.

And that’s why I wanted to put this together this list, because sometimes you buy a cute piece, wear it the same exact way every time, and then forget how much potential it actually has.

So if you’ve been wanting fresh ways to style your favorite Lululemon pieces – or you’re trying to decide whether that one item in your cart is actually worth the money – these outfit ideas are for you. They’re cute, practical and the kind of looks you’ll genuinely want to wear on repeat.

My Honest Opinion and Experience with Lululemon:

I personally love the brand but it’s definitely expensive, so these are the kind of pieces you’re really investing in. I’d go into it thinking of those pieces as more of an investment. And because of that, I’d really ask yourself which pieces you’re actually going to wear all the time.

A lot of it just comes down to your lifestyle and the way you personally like to move. If you’re mainly a gym person, that’s one thing. But if you’re anything like me and you also like doing other activities – like cycling, walking, jogging, playing tennis, or just being out and about – then I honestly think it makes way more sense to go for pieces you can wear outside of just the gym too.

That’s why I personally think things like flared leggings or the Define Jacket are so worth it, because you can style them for so many different situations. And that’s always a big thing for me. If I can wear something in multiple ways and not just for one specific workout, it automatically feels way more worth the money. I’ve had so many moments where I bought something because it looked cute in theory, and then I barely wore it because it only worked for one specific setting.

If you already know you’re probably not going to wear certain pieces that often, I’d honestly stick to the more basic options. In that case, something like a pair of black leggings or a matching sports bra just makes the most sense, because those are the pieces you’ll almost always end up reaching for. You still get the comfort and quality, but it feels a lot more practical.

It also really depends on how activewear fits into your everyday life. If you mostly wear it just for the gym, then classic leggings or shorts are always a safe bet. But if you spend a lot of time outside, I really think having a jacket makes such a difference too. Especially when it’s colder out or you’re walking somewhere windy, that extra layer is just one of those things you end up being so glad you have.

And I also think color can make it way more fun. Sometimes when I’m out on a walk and I’m wearing a cute set in a shade that’s a little less expected – like lavender or green – it just feels so much more special. It makes the whole outfit look prettier, a little more styled, and just more fun to wear. And I know that sounds small, but little things like that genuinely make me enjoy getting dressed more. So that’s something I’d definitely keep in mind too.
